GREENWOOD – It’s been a whirlwind week for Chili the cat.

A client of the Greenwood Animal Hospital found the orange tabby clinging to life on a doorstep the morning of Feb. 18. The cat, located in the Crescent Avenue area, was visibly freezing and hardly responsive.

Staff at the animal hospital immediately rallied around Chili, making every attempt to warm his the young cat’s frail body.

“When the client brought him in he was flat, his temperature wouldn’t read, you could feel the cold emanating off of his body,” said Dr. Teresa Speelman.
